My Last Day of Freedom

Okay, well, yesterday is what I consider to be my last day of freedom, and what a great day it turned out to be!!! Despite the fact that my cousins and my aunt went back to California (thanks for coming guys! It was sooo much fun!), the rest of the day was totally fun!

It started out that I was crazy enough to wake up at about 4:45 to try and see the partial lunar eclipse... That didn't turn out to well, because I woke up hot and sleepy, and then I couldn't even find the stupid moon. Then I decided to go back to
sleep only to wake up about two hours later to go help my mom get her weekly basket of veggies. Then, straight after that, we went to my grandparents' house to see off my aunt and cousins. My 5 year old cuz, Kaitlyn, started out in a terrible mood due to the fact she didn't like her hair. It was kind of adorable. :D

Once they were on their way to their home in Cali, me madre and I swung by the zoo. On Thursday and Friday I had already spent my days working there in preparation for the events that would occur on Saturday. It was Hy-Dari's 50th birthday, which made her the oldest African Elephant on North America! I had helped makeher cake, and I had also painted a few of her pinatas. It looked as if she thoroughly enjoyed the presents, and she ate as much as her heart desired. :D

In the evening, my mom let me go to Twilight Night. It was an event that happened all around America, where people would gather together to win prizes, play games, watch New Moon and to even see a few of the actors from the upcoming movie Eclipse! I was near Sugar House at Fairmont Park. It was soo much fun! I got free things, my face painted, and saw the first part of New Moon. But the highlight of my time was when I got to see, high-five, talk to, and even get autographs of two actors! One was a vampire, Charlie Bewely (Demetri), and the other was a wolf, Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater)! I was sooo happy!!! Charlie was soo funny! He kept randomly poking his head out of the tent to make fans scream, and he also has the most awesome accent ever! Julia was sooo sweet and pretty! Yay!!!

And now, I must bid farewell to this blog... for who knows how
long... I will try and post while I am the Startalk program learning Chinese, but there is no guarantee that I'll have internet, but if not, I'll update y'all when I come back! See ya!!!

The Tales of Trek and Other Things Which Have Occurred Since I Last Posted Typed in 5 Minutes....

Hello all! I decided it was about time I posted to let y'all know that I'm still alive, since I last blogged. As you can see, Trek did not kill me, though it came close... Just kidding. It was very inspiration and extremely fun! I learned that I can do hard things, and have gained a new appreciation for modern technology. I don't see how the pioneers were able to Trek for miles and miles with all of their belongings! I sometimes felt as if I was going to die as I walked and pushed despite the whole fact I only had to walk for three days. I mean, car rides are tedious for me, but having to walk for months on end?!?! That would be crazy!!! I also longed for a bath the whole time I was there. We got extremely muddy the first day, and the rest made us VERY dusty!!! It also got extremely cold on occasion, making us bundle up as warm as we could at night.

Aside from the discomforts, I had an amazing time! My family turned out to almost be like family to me during Trek. I loved teasing and joking around with my brothers and sisters. And my Ma and Pa were the BEST! I was sad to leave them... though, I hope we'll all be able to gather together one day!

After getting home, and taking a shower, I went to go see the Chalk Art festival! It was absolutely AMAZING!!! I wish I could draw that well with chalk!!! I may post a few pictures later.... But they were sooo pretty!!! While there, for it was at the Gateway, I went to Bath and Bodyworks. I could practically spend all day in there, aside from the fact I would go high off of the many different perfumes in the air... But still, I got some very good deals and I am happy.

The next day was Father's Day, and we were going to have a dinner with my grandparents. But it turns out that randomly, at our door, appeared my cousins and my aunt from California! They had come over without telling ANYONE, and it was such a cool surprise! Ever since they arrived, we've been going to movies. So far, recently, I've seen Karate Kid, Alice in Wonderland, and Toy Story 3, all of which were AMAZING!!! I recommend seeing them if you haven't.

Anyhow, sorry, this post wasn't very good... but I was posting it in a very limited amount of time, and there was sooo much to post on! I promise my next post will be better!!! But I have to go!!! See ya!!!!

BUSY!!!

Hello fellow earthings! Welcome back to my blog! Well... unless this is the first time you decided to drop by... then I guess it's more like WELCOME TO MY BLOG!!! Beware, it is filled with the awesomeness of my summer exploits that only the bravest dare to read... Lol!

Anyhow, it's been a while since I last posted, and for that, I must give my utmost sincerest apology... well... maybe not so sincere... But I still am sorry for not updating. I've been like CRAZY busy with this and that. A few days ago, my mom got really into making our house look nice. That included three days straight of yard work! I hate yard work. I'm allergic to it... of course, I'm allergic to everything, so people stop caring anymore. Ah well, though I must say, the yard does look nicer. :D Great job Madre!

And now, lately, I've been packing for Trek (In case any of you don't know, it's like a reenactment of the pioneers crossing the valley into Utah- Which translates into HIKING IN A SKIRT). I'm really excited for the actual Trek part, but the packing and getting ready... not so much... I don't find enjoyment out of trying to fit one sleeping bag, a foam mattress, a blanket, a winter coat, clothes, shoes, and scriptures all into ONE DUFFEL BAG!!! It's not fun, and if you don't believe me, I dare you to try it. I'm almost finished though... good thing too, otherwise I would be going crazy!!! I'm leaving tomorrow morning, and I'll be hiking for three days. This means that I won't be able to access the internet so I won't be blogging. But once I'm back, I will update this with tales of my loverly experience. :D

Anyways... I may update again later today... Right now I have to head out to watch Karate Kid. So, I'll give you a detailed analysis when I'm done. Lol, probably not, but still, hopefully it'll be good. :D Alright, I have to go now! See ya later!

HOT!

Why does it have to be soo hot?!!?! I think I'm going to die!!! Okay... maybe that's a little melodramatic, but still... I hate summer! It gets so hot I can't even think anymore!!! I wish I could open my window when I sleep, but I don't have a screen to keep the bugs out... Ah well... at least there has been rain to help cool me down. I love rain... Especially dancing in the rain... Maybe one day I'll have to have a rain party where everyone dresses in shorts and t-shirts and we can blast loud music while dancing in the rain (no reference to the title of this blog intended... I just feel like dancing and I love being in the rain. :D ).

Well... there isn't exactly anything interesting to post about... I cleaned my room... and that's it... I also just watched a show called Unknown or something. It was creepy! Six people were abducted and left in this practically deserted town filled with security cameras. They don't know where they are at, and the only way they can leave is by killing each other... It's seriously cool, and reminds me of the Hunger Games series...

I love the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. For those of you who have not read them, I would encourage you to give them a try. It's a book set in a post World War Three. The United States have fallen and is replaced by this place called Panem, which is ruled by the Capitol. Panem is made of 12 Districts that only exist to create necessities and luxuries for those living in the Capitol. In order to discourage rebellion, the Capitol demonstrates its power over those living in the districts by hosting Hunger games. Each District must submit two Tributes (one male and one female from the ages of 12 to 18) to participate in the Hunger games. There are 24 kids sent into the Arena, but only one comes out. It's a game of win, or die.

Wow... I didn't plan on giving a description of the Hunger Games... My head must be very over-heated. But I love the Hunger Games series... Anyhow, I guess I had best go before I babble on any longer. See you later, alligator! :D (This is when you say, "In a while, crocodile" ;) )

Stomp on Main

Hello all! I hope you've been having a fabulous summer so far! And don't you dare tell me you are already bored. It hasn't even been a whole week yet! My summer has been great... except for the weather. I always feel as if I'm about to die if the weather gets to be above 75. Other then that, I've been having fun. :D

Yesterday, I headed out to the Stomp on Main with a few friends. For starters, we drew on the road with chalk, tracing our body outlines on the ground. We also played with several Frisbee that they were giving away. Though, I have to say the high point of the event was when I bought an Avalanche snow cone. :D My friend and I went totally loopy eating the Tiger Blood flavored ice, which took us a while since the Avalanche was MASSIVE. :D I must admit that I didn't dance as much as I should have, but I had a ton of fun talking to my friends. :D

Today hasn't been very exciting. In fact, it's been just HOT. I did paint my nails earlier coating them in a blinding coat of glitter. :D

Well, I'll post later. I'm getting too hot to type. :D

First Day of Summer!

Wow, I'm more frequent at posting then I thought I would be! I find blogging rather fun. Especially for people who want something to do. :D Anyhows, today was the FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!! It's totally official!!! :D

Well, I started today by joining a Party Breakfast with a whole bunch of girls who were celebrating their last day of school in Jr. High. There was a lot of good food and great company. Our breakfast composed of yummy crepes with strawberries, bananas, ice-cream, chocolate syrup, and jam. It was totally delicious! Of course, afterwords I realized that ice-cream probably wasn't the smartest choice for breakfast... Just don't tell my foods teacher! :D

After that, I spent the mid part of my day cleaning... not very fun, so I won't debrief you on everything I did for fear that I may bore you to death. :D

My mom then came home from work, and we went off to get a reading on my TB test (Which was negative by the way :D ) My mom decided that we should go and see a movie. Happily, I chose to go see Prince of Persia, and I must admit, IT WAS EPIC! I recommend seeing it for all of you who haven't yet, and if you want someone to go with, feel free to ask me! (Well... as long as I'm not busy... :D ) The movie was so much better then I thought it would be! And it had a very nice ending. :D

And sadly, I must say that that will be the end of my adventures today... I wanted to go to a midnight release party tonight for a book called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer. I then decided that staying up that late would be too much, considering I don't have a ride, and that I plan to be up late tomorrow. :D

To those of you who will be free tomorrow night, I recommend going to the Stomp on Main. It would be a ton of fun if we could get a whole bunch of people to go! It's like a huge dance/party thing. :D Here's the info:

Lol, after I posted this, I was invited to go to night games. :D It was soo much fun! And after it started getting late, and a few of the young ones had to go to bed, we spent the rest of the night talking. It started raining, so we resorted to setting up a tent on the trampoline in my friend's backyard. :D

It's Official!

IT'S OFFICIAL! SCHOOL IS OVER!!! Today was sort of uneventful... Well at least in my classes. I didn't really do anything, except for Math... I actually had to take a test. :( Oh, I also played Chemistry Land (like Candy Land, only with Chemistry questions...) Other then that, nothing was exciting... until after school ended. :D

As soon as class ended, I fled to the ginormous glob of swarming students who were waiting to receive the much coveted YEARBOOK. Everyone was squashed together like a overflowing can of sardines... I swear! That "line" was worse then CHINA! That's hard to beat... And I'm also slightly claustrophobic... So, thing's weren't as comfortable a they could have been. I couldn't move a single inch, and I was drowning in a crowed of average height teenage guys... It got kind of awkward. :D

After surviving the massive hoards of people, and finally getting my loverly and heavy yearbook, I went outside to join the people outside to get it signed, and to spread my own famous autographs around the school. At first I didn't have to move an inch. People would come and just hand me their books, and take mine. But after a while, I had to go search for a few people. I swear they know I'm looking for them and go hide! People are so hard to find when you want them! Finally, I decided to go back where I started... only to find quite a few of those I was looking for... sigh... Lol! :D

So, that's that. School is now over... At least for three months. I bet by then I'll really want to go back to school... If only to see my friends. :D Miss you guys! Keep in touch! If I get too lonely, I may have to read through your loverly messages written in my much coveted yearbook (So hopefully you guys wrote good things :D ).

HAVE A FANTASTICALLY WONDERFUL SUMMER!!!
-Nicholle :D

Thoughts on the Last Day of School...

Well, today, I am in school for the last time as a sophmore. And right now, I'm in my computer tech class, where we do almost NOTHING! I'm really bored, and I've already checked out Facebook and various Twilight Fan sites, and I decided that I would post a blog. :D

I'm not really sure that the whole fact of "summer is here" has hit me yet. Well... except for the disgustingly hot weather we've been having. Other then that, I can't believe that after today, I will no longer have to go to school for three months, and that I'll have to replace my school schedule with other various activities. Of course, I wish I had a break before I started going off places, but my mother has different thoughts.

On Saturday, I am leaving to Arizona. I'm dreading the weather there. If I think Utah is hot with its 79 degree forcast, I don't want to know what the weather has in store in arid Arizona. But I have to go despite my unwillingness. Mom wants me to go see my aunt and uncle on my dad's side. I haven't seen them for about 5-ish years, and they want to see me. They'll be at work most of the time we are there, meaning that Mom and I have to have our own little adventures around the area. Another thing I am hesitant on is the fact that I doubt I will have internet service... How will I ever live??? One of the only things that I've been thinking that could make my stay in Arizona more pleasent is that Bella Swan (Twilight) lived there... but I don't like Bella... and that doesn't help much...

Anyways, enough about my summer, I guess I'll talk about today. Today is when we get our year-books, which are very expensive by the way, and we get to have them signed by our friends. I'm hoping to get some phone numbers of friends who've I only met this year so I can keep in touch. I'm sad that I have to be gone for most of the summer... I wanted to hang out more often with my friends... but alas, that will not be. Ah well, there is always next summer!... oh wait... probably not, I'm going to be in China for all of it... Ok, well then... There is always the summer after next summer. :D

Thanks for listening to my babbling, if anyone actually reads this... I know it's a little scatter-brained, but what can you say.

Have a great summer! :D

Reminiscing...

And our year is coming to a close (Only one more day left!) How fast this year has flown! It seems like only yesterday when I was worried about getting lost and acting like the new sophomore I was... Sigh... I guess time flies when you're having fun, and that is mainly due to my wonderful friends. Thank you so much for sticking with me this whole year. I know I've been crazy, but it's been fun. Thanks for at least trying to keep me a little bit sane. :D

I also want to thank my mother for sticking behind me as well. Thanks for helping me through my rough spots, and having enough patience to deal with me. Love ya!

I'm going to be busy for the main portion of the summer, but I'll try and keep in touch! Email me, or comment on this blog, and I'll try and find time to answer back.

Have a great summer!

Walking around Walmart...

Alright, so the other day, I was at Walmart with me madre, and I just happened to come across a large sign in the meat department. It made me laugh, and I decided to share it with you guys. It seems as if Walmart needs to learn how to advertise better...
