No School!!! :D

Finally! Some time without school!!! Thank goodness for Thanksgiving break! Though... I still have homework... which is a little bit of a downer... I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too. :( Hehe, that just reminded me of this new gum that my mom bought. It's Extra's dessert flavored gum! And it tastes like mint chocolate chip! And on the package it says "You can have your dessert and chew it too!" Hehe, sorry, that was random, but the gum tastes good... though... My favorite gum is the kind that changes flavors from orange to mint. :D

My cousin Jesseca is watching me and it is making me very self conscious... hehe are you reading this Seca? I can see you!!!! Look! I mentioned you in my blog! Aren't you happy? I love you! You are my favorite cousin EVER!!! Hehe!!!

Sorry, I couldn't help it, I was having too much fun having a conversation with my cuz as she was talking to me and I was typing to her! Lol! I am sooo weird!!! Anyways... I am rather tired... and tomorrow is THANKSGIVING!!! YAY!!! and then I have to do homework... :( Kay, got to go! Bye!

Best Night EVER!!!

Hello all, it's me! Hey! Don't act so surprised! I haven't forgotten about my blog! I've just been uber busy of the late. Sigh... My life has been taken over by school, and I never get any breaks- unless if I ignore the growing stack of homework on my desk... Life right now is like a roller-coaster, and I have resorted to living in the present, otherwise, I would go completely INSANE!!!

Anyways... The main reason I wanted to post was to share about my weekend so far. It has been absolutely wonderful! Yesterday was the Halloween school dance, and it was so totally EPIC! All of us friends(Me and Mark, Audrey and Josh, Kara and Kevin) had a blast dressed up as Jedi's. But I have to say, the BEST part of that was our loverly light-saber battles. Of course, the battles were TOTALLY unfair, seeing as my date and I were Siths and we were overpowered by two Jedi Couples. We would have totally won if we were fighting an even match, but seeing as we weren't even... I kept resurrecting myself to go and help my partner.

Our dinner for the dance was amazing! We had a mummy shaped pizza (Thanks to Audrey) and monster toes (sausages wrapped in dough and baked that I made myself). It was all delicious, and the decorations were FANTASTIC thanks to Kara and Audrey. :D After the dance we also decorated and ate yummy sugar cookies! Hehe, the dark side really does have cookies...

We ended up doing our date a little backwards seeing as we did our day activity after our dance... but there just wasn't enough time! (Good thing that we planned that too, seeing as my car died, stranding me near my friend's house) We went to Scary Hill, which is Cherry Hill only decorated Halloween style. When we mini-golfed (which I am TERRIBLE at by the way), we had fairly nice weather... but afterwords... it was a complete DOWNPOUR! We were prepared though, as we had packed umbrellas and hot chocolate.

After stopping at the store to get some much needed treats, we went to Kevin's house to eat pizza and watch Star Wars I... though most of the time we goofed off and talked. It was nice to get together with a bunch of friends... even if I am REALLY behind on my homework... but that can be remedied...

Oh! I almost forgot! I went to see Megamind with my family and my friend Josh. It was fantastic!!! And no, the movie hasn't come out yet, but you all should know that I have connections. ;) Hehe! But once it comes out, I recommend everyone to see it!!!

Anyways... I had best be going now... I'm supposed to have studied for Biology... due to the fact that I don't understand most things about the details of Cellular Respiration... and I also still have to take notes for Psychology... sigh... It just never ends... See you all later!

Once again, Ni hao!

Hola people! Okay... I know, I know, I haven't posted in like... two weeks? But I've been busy... and I still am busy, but I decided to take a quick break before I EXPLODE! Anyhow.... 中秋节快乐!!! Zhong Qiu Jie Kuai Le!!! That means "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival" in case you were wondering... which is today... Though, I haven't done much to celebrate it, since it's hard to celebrate the glory of the moon and the harvest time without eating any moon cakes or having to harvest anything... Though I probably should harvest my lost brain cells... sigh... if that even makes any sense?

I am loathing school at the moment... I swear that teachers believe that students are actually robots that are able to spend their whole lives doing homework without any kind of sleep or most importantly, A SOCIAL LIFE!!! UGh.... I am NOT happy right now... Math is making NO sense... and I've been working on it since... 4pm today and now it's 9pm. And I know I only have 7 more problems left, but it's just not clicking with me! I swear that I did the whole assignment wrong, but I am too tired to go and check... Sigh... when will this all end?!?!

So, I'll try not to keep going off on a negative note... Um... I sold my old Ipod Touch in order to get a new Ipod Touch 4G. My old one was 3G, so I think it was a good trade. :D Anyhow.... I'd better get going again on my stupid homework... I may just give up and work on it tomorrow at lunch... Sigh...

Oh yeah, I forgot if I ever mentioned that I was going to homecoming... yeah... should be... interesting... sigh....

With all my love... and frustration,
Nicholle

Just because...

Hello, I know, I know, I already posted for today, but my cousin has been begging and begging for me to post something about her... So... Yeah... Anyways... My cousin's name is Jesseca... and she is a 9th grader aka Freshmeat. And this post is for her. Hehe! You asked for it Seca. :D

Anyhow... I'm at my loverly grandparents' house, and have just consumed a delectable meal. She is the best cook ever! I love Chinese food!... though maybe that's cuz I'm Chinese (if you didn't know already...) And I am sooo glad that I don't have school tomorrow! YAY!!!

So, anyways, I'll see you all later... maybe I should start posting a favorite quote per post.... Here's my first one:

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils ... - Louis Hector Berlioz

I'm Still Alive... I think...

Hello all! I'm just here to say, I'm still alive, if just barley. I've finally passed through my second week of school, and already it feels as if I've been there FOREVER! And even though it's a long weekend, I won't be doing much to enjoy it, due to the mass amount of homework I received... Sigh... Do teacher's think that we have nothing better to do with our lives? I swear, they expect me to spend every minute of my day doing school related things.

The only reason I'm still partly sane is mainly due to books. I finally read Mockingjay, and though It failed a little in my expectations, that was due to the fact that it was too short. It could have been totally better if we could of even had 100 more pages. Too bad Suzanne Collins has a 400 page limit for her books. I do still love the series, and I'm totally going to read Mockingjay again. :D

I also discovered a new series that I love! The first book is called Green Rider by Kristen Britain, and I fell in love with it as soon as I began. I'm too lazy to post my own synopsis so I'm going to post the one from the author's website:

"On her long journey home from school after a fight which will surely lead to her expulsion, Karigan G'ladheon ponders her future as she trudges through the immense forest called Green Cloak. But her thoughts are interrupted by the clattering of hooves as a galloping horse bursts from the woods, the rider slumped over his mount's neck, impaled by two black-shafted arrows. As the young man lies dying on the road, he tells Karigan that he is a Green Rider, one of the legendary messengers of the king, and that he bears a "life and death" message for King Zachary. He begs Karigan to carry his message, warning her not to read it, and when she reluctantly agrees, he makes her swear on his sword to complete his mission "for love of country." As he bestows upon her the golden winged-horse brooch which is the symbol of his office, he whispers on his dying breath, "Beware the shadow man..."

"Karigan's promise changes her life forever. Pursued by unknown assassins, following a path only her horse seems to know, and accompanied by the silent specter of the original messenger, she herself becomes a legendary Green Rider. Caught up in a world of deadly danger and complex magic, compelled by forces she cannot understand, Karigan

is hounded by dark beings bent on seeing that the message, and its reluctant carrier, never reach their destination."

So I finished all of the books within a week... probably not the best thing to do when I had so much homework... but It was a lot funner. :D I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out which is coming out on Feb. 1st. If you are curious about the series, the books are (in order) The Green Rider, The First Rider's Call, and The High King's Tomb.

Oh, I also got asked to Homecoming, but whether or not I'll go is the question... Jason, my swing partner from last year, was the one who asked me... He was also coincidentally my trek brother. I don't know... sigh... The situation's complicated for me, and I'm not going to put it on here for all to see.... But those who know me well will know my predicament. If you don't know, and curiosity is gnawing at your bones, feel free to email me or text.

Anyhow... I'd better go and help my mom... we have guests over... sigh... I just want some QUITE TIME! Is that too much to ask?

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

Lol, how do you like the title today? The sad fact is... it's true... So, now, school has started! I meant to post yesterday, but my teachers decided to give me a nice big load of homework on the first day of school. Today I was a bit luckier, but I just used my time to finish yesterday's homework... This year, I'm taking three AP classes. AP American History, AP Physics, and AP Biology. So far, AP American is okay, though... I'm not to hot with the whole history thing. The teacher is great and funny, and we spent about 30 minutes just doing role-call, since he kept commenting on people's names and family members. AP Physics is great, though... for having the easiest AP test, it sure has a lot of work... But I've learned a lot- like Descartes thought that brain fluid was actually "liquid soul" when he found the stuff in animal's brains when he dissected them... Biology is also fantastic, though... we are covering a chapter per day until the AP test. It's going to be CRAZY!!! My other classes are great as well... though out of all of them... my favorite would have to be Jewelry Making. :D I love jewelry, as you probably already know. :D

Oh, and another reason, besides school, that's making me crazy is this:

Yes, Mockingjay, from the loverly series the Hunger Games. I am sooo obsessed over these books, but sadly enough... I don't have my hands on the book at the moment. I know, I know, it only came out today, but still! I'm a book connoisseur! I need to sink my teeth into Mockingjay as soon as possible, or I fear I will die from book starvation... I don't know if there is such a thing... but this is the Hunger Games I am talking about... Sigh...

Oh, another cool thing- I have a new pet! It's Septimus Halfus the Tarantula, and yes, I know, Halfus is not Latin, but the name Hemi Septimus or Septimus Hemi doesn't sound as good.... I swear, he is the only thing keeping me semi sane... Okay, maybe not... but still, he is AWESOME! Here's a pic of him. :D
Anyhow... sorry, I know this post is jumpy, but I didn't want to be writing forever!!! I had a ton of things to say. :D So, I'll see you later!

Busy, Busy, Busy.... OOH LOOK AN ELEPHANT!

Hey everyone! What's up? It's just me again, Nicholle, if you haven't already figured that out by now... I mean, seriously, you probably should already know... but just in case... sometimes even I forget. Hehe. Anyhow... There is now only a week left until school, and I am not totally thrilled to be pushed back into the whole classes part of school, but I can't wait for the social part! I miss everyone sooo much!!! And I'm terrible at the whole keeping in touch thing... thought that's mainly due to my busy busy life.

Anyhow, I guess I had better update you on whatever I did that whole last week... not that you really care, but hey, I'll write it anyways. :D I guess I'll start with Monday... though... Do I even remember what I did on Monday? Hmm... let me think...

Oh yeah! I think that's the day I went to go see a play called Big River down at Sundance theater. It was great! Though not as great as the time I saw it at Hale's theater which actually had a river full of water for a set... but anyhow... It was funny enough, and the guy playing Huckleberry Fin was really good. I felt sorry for him though, because he had a ton of lines! I can't imagine having to memorize that many lines for a play! Oh, and a cool think about the theater at Sundance is that it is outside! So, they had a song about stars, and I looked up and there were millions of stars in the sky. It was soo pretty. :D

Okay... the next day, Tuesday if you want to be totally exact, I went to Thanksgiving Point. That was fun, considering I haven't been there in lik... forever. We spent like an hour watching a guy blow glass. It was really cool. :D And then we went to the farm part of it and I fed goats and ogled at a baby calf for like thirty minutes. The little calf was soo cute! And he was born the day that we came too, so he was in his really awkward stage trying to figure out how things worked... And then we went to the dinosaur museum part. That was a very cool place to look at. Apparently the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point is the largest one in the world!

And for the life of me, I do not recall what went on on Wednesday... Let me think... Oh! Yeah, I went shopping and I got myself a very nice Mockingjay pin from Hot Topic. For all of you who don't know what a Mockingjay is, read the Hunger Games series. :D Afterwards I went to the Training Table for the first time with my mom and some friends we knew from when we lived in Washington. For those of you who don't know, it's a very good burger joint where you order your burgers through a phone. I got a mushroom burger with mushrooms (of course), the burgur (duh!), a light mushroom sauce and grated cheddar cheese. It was delicious! Afterwords I went go-cart racing down in Layton somewhere. It was a ton of fun, even though I'm not the best driver there ever was... Lol!

Thursday and Friday were both days I went to go work at the Hogle Zoo. On Thursday, I got to pet a penguin and also feed and pet a Mara. For those of you who don't know exactly what a Mara is, it is a large rodent that lives in Argentina. On Friday, I got to help prepare for Zuri, a one year old elephant's birthday! I even taste tested her birthday cake... Which tasted like apples and oranges and had a weird texture. That doesn't sound too bad, but wait until I tell you that the orangy flavor came from this thing called monkey chow! Yeah... I only tried it after being dared to by my boss, and even then I waited until she tried it first. :D

And then came Saturday, which was a big day considering it was Zuri's birthday celebration and also my aunt's wedding. So first, I skipped down to the zoo and watched Zuri celebrate her loverly birthday by demolishing presents, that I helped make, with her mother, Cristy. She is soo cute! Though, she hasn't totally mastered the use of her trunk yet. She had to totally kneel down in order to try and stuff a pineapple into her mouth. :D After coming home from the zoo and getting ready, we went to my aunt's wedding. I was bored for most of the reception part considering I knew no one... and the fact that my job was to sit at a table and let people sign a book and drop of their presents... But the end part was fine, considering I left my post and just talked to my cousins. :D

Now today... nothing much has happened... We said good bye to some of my relatives from California and then we went to church... sooo.... nothing much...

Anyhow... that was a long post! I'm going to stop writing now... though maybe later I'll update with some pictures of stuff and videos from watching Zuri on her birthday. :D

See ya!

COLD MOUTH!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!

My mouth is really cold!!! AHHH!!! Lol, that's what I get from taking a mouth full of super cold ice cream... but it was soo good. :D Sorry, I know that was random... but this whole post is going to be kind of random or somewhat informative... Anyhow... I think I'll start with random first.

Look! I found a video of an owl. It's a cute owl. People should watch the video. Yes, I know the video is in Japanese, and yes, I know most of you don't speak much Japanese, but that doesn't matter! Just focus at the size of the owls, and then watch the owl with the bright orange-yellow eyes and his amazing shape changing skill!

Aww! Isn't that owl cute! Do you know what else is cute? My little cuz, Kaitlyn! And guess what! She's coming to visit with her family. :D Yay! They are coming to attend my aunt's wedding. Weddings are a little annoying... though only a little bit. First, it's a lot of planning. And second, this wedding is planned on Zuri's birthday!!! For those of you who don't know who Zuri is, she is a one year old elephant who I love to death! I wanted to go help out on her birthday and volunteer at the Hogle zoo... but I can't!!! Because I'm going to be at a wedding...

Oh! I've been having songs run through my head!!! One of them is called Hallelujah, and it just keeps going on and on and on in my head. Sad thing is... I only know like two lines in it... Sigh... That's not fun... I can't sing along to my head because I don't know the words to the song...

I've been having an obsession with the Renaissance and Middle Ages lately. I've been trying to put together a Renaissance costume, or trying to find one that I can buy for a reasonable price on the Internet. I've also been wanting to take archery and fencing classes... or even a class to teach me how to use many weapons popular during the Renaissance or Middle Ages periods... I think that learning how to handle these weapons, I'd be better prepared to write fighting sequences in some of my stories I'm writing....

Dang... I'm done with my small bowl of ice cream... and I'm too lazy to go get some more.... I'm going to go now... And I'll probably end up playing games on my iPod touch.... Anyhow...

See you all later! Hope you're having an interesting summer! And BEWARE OF THE BUTTERFLIES!!!!

Good Morning!!!

Good morning loverly people!!! How is life in coconut land?.... Okay... I don't know what that is supposedly supposed to mean... I think I'm losing it... Ah well! This morning is great so far! Though, in about less than 15 minutes, I need to go and do some important things... like clean my room, do an online class and also wash my fish's bowl.

Anyhow... I really have no reason for posting this except for the fact that I'm in a good mood. So... I need some stuff to fill in this post... Maybe I'll enter in the first entry of my Chinese Startalk adventure. I had started writing everyday about what happened... but that only lasted for like 4 days, since after that I was too busy to do anything except for homework... Anyhoo... I'll post it right underneath this paragraph.

Chinese Startalk Entry One!

Day 1

Wan shang hao da jia! Wo zi BYU Startalk xue zhong wen. Good evening everyone! (For it is evening now as I type this) I’m here at BYU Startalk to learn Chinese. So far, it’s been hen hao (very good) and wo xue hen duo, hen duo (and I’ve learned a ton). I don’t have Internet access that I’ve been able to find in my dorm, but I figured it is good enough to write things as they happen.

I guess I should start at the beginning of my day, though most of it has seemed to blur together. It first started out (after arriving which took a long time since my mom and I got lost CONSTANTLY) I went to register. Upon registering, I was given a nifty cool backpack that only hangs on one shoulder, a text book, a binder with too much info, and then, last but not least, a very awesome water bottle! I mean, it is really cool! I don’t know how I’ll describe it… but I have to tell you, it’s my favorite. :D

I then sat through a very long orientation. It was full of a ton of info, and some of the speakers were amusing, but I was hungry the whole time. But soon enough, it came time for me to part with my mother (I miss you!) and then go to lunch! I was immediately overwhelmed by the vast amount of foods available! Everything I tried was hen hao chi (very delicious). It was almost like being on a cruise ship… and it was fun tasting the few dishes I took.

Afterwords, we parted ways and went to class… It started out with a pre-test, which was rather difficult I must admit. It was mostly written in characters… and my teachers never taught me characters…. Other than that, I understand everything orally spoken; it’s just that I’m off balanced. Oh! In another class, I also learned how to type in Chinese… which I can’t do now, since I have no way of loading the program to my computer due to the lack of internet connection….

Dinner was after, and everything was as good as lunch. I sat with a few people that I know from my loverly hometown… Ooh, and I also tried a dessert, just because of its name! It was called “Chocolate fluff in a cloud…” Isn’t that interesting? It tasted alright, but I kept laughing at the name. :D

After dinner, we had to have a study time where we passed off some dialog… I passed it off, though, I still want to study the written characters due to the fact that it’s all Greek to me (well… technically it’s Chinese to me… but still… :D ) Afterwords, we’ve been having free time separated by a few meetings… I’m tired… but I’m trying to decide if I should take a shower now, or in the morning… I always shower in the mornings… but I don’t think I’ll have time… I’ll go shower now so I won’t have to worry!

Good night people! Wan an!

~Nicholle

So there you have it. Dang... reading it brings back memories of the good old days when I was still at BYU having my brain washed with Chinese.... I should really start practicing my writing and speaking.... I don't want to lose it... Okay, I'll start practicing after my fish's bowl is clean...

Oh, by the way, I finally named my fish! His name is Prince Arthur, and he was named after the Prince Arthur in the Merlin TV series. Arthur is vain, and so is my fish. Arthur wears red a lot, and my fish is red. Arthur has blue eyes, and so does my fish. Arthur is hot, and my fish would be considered pretty attractive in the fish world. :D Lol!

Okay, well, I'd better go... I only have like 4 more minutes to waist before I have to get to work doing important things that don't include riding unicorns...

Bye!

~Nicholle

Hao Jiu Bu Jian!!! Long Time No See!!!

Dang, It's been a while since I posted, and that is mainly due to the fact that I've been really busy/lazy at the same time. The busy side of things is mainly me hanging out with my mom and her friends, and also working at the zoo on Thursdays and Fridays. The lazy part of my life is just watching Heroes whenever I can. And yes, I am addicted... sigh... I need to find a new show to watch soon. Heroes is getting a little annoying at the moment....

Anyhow.... Not much has happened that is exciting. I've watched several movies including: the Sorcerers' Apprentice and Inception. Sorcerers' Apprentice could have been better, though they did have some good special effects. Inception was AMAZING!!! I absolutely LOVED it. The movie made me think, and it completely boggled my brain. :D I would recommend going to see it if you haven't already, it was extremely good. :D

Another thing besides movies that I've used to occupy my time is my obsession with The Hunger Games! The third book, Mockingjay is coming out in 22 days and I can not wait!!! I am absolutely psyched with the series, and I am counting down the days... though that means that school is in 21 more days.... sigh... Anyhow, I've begun making my own Hunger Games necklace pendants. I'll upload some pictures later, and after I've perfected my designs for the pendants, I will be willing to sell them, and not only for Hunger Games, but almost anything if people ask. :D It makes me happy.

Anyhow... other than that... nothing exciting... Oh, besides the fact that I passed off my Financial Literature class online for the first quarter. When I was driving back from the test, my grandma went on an on about how people who are rich become un-rich by gambling, and also that if you have money for food, you should save money, cook your own food, and then go out to eat after a few weeks. She was very informative, though, I was a little amused with her ramblings....

Speaking of ramblings, I'm rambling... okay, I'd better go soon.... Blog to ya later!

Chinese Startalk!!!

Hello people! Long time no see!!!! Or in Chinese it would be 你们好 好久不见!(Nimen Hao jiu bu jian! ) The reason I've been gone so long is that I'm at BYU's Chinese (Zhong Wen 中文) Startalk, and we haven't had much internet time. I've been wanting to blog for sooo long! And I've finally found the time to do so!!! I miss everyone and everything back home, though I'm too busy here to get sad about it. We are busy from dawn to dusk, and even then, I'm still not finished with the homework allotted to me!

We are working hard here to learn Chinese, but we do have some fun times as well. We sometimes have to write our own dialogs and they are hilarious! We also have a craft time, and another class were we sing and prepare for our performances. I've even helped make two music vids which I will upload for sure when they are done. :D

The food is good here, and there sure is a lot of it. Though lately I'm getting soooo sick of the food.... there is too much!!! Meals are hectic due to the fact there is NO WHERE TO SIT!!! There are sooo many EFY groups!!!! It's crazy!!!!

Anyhow, I probably should go now... I don't have much time to use the internet... but I just wanted all you to know, I'M ALIVE!!!! Miss you all!!! And I hope you are all having a great summer!!! Bye!!!! 再见!!! (Zai jian!)

((Oh, and BTW for anyone who is interested, I just bought a Chinese Hymn book :D ))

((Oh, I'm also going crazy about not seeing Eclipse yet!!! AHHHH!!! And to make matters worse... I lost my Eclipse pen.... It was pretty... And now it's gone... :( I really have to see the movie as soon as I get out of this place!!! And then maybe, in the future, I'll try watching it in Chinese... ))

My Last Day of Freedom

Okay, well, yesterday is what I consider to be my last day of freedom, and what a great day it turned out to be!!! Despite the fact that my cousins and my aunt went back to California (thanks for coming guys! It was sooo much fun!), the rest of the day was totally fun!

It started out that I was crazy enough to wake up at about 4:45 to try and see the partial lunar eclipse... That didn't turn out to well, because I woke up hot and sleepy, and then I couldn't even find the stupid moon. Then I decided to go back to
sleep only to wake up about two hours later to go help my mom get her weekly basket of veggies. Then, straight after that, we went to my grandparents' house to see off my aunt and cousins. My 5 year old cuz, Kaitlyn, started out in a terrible mood due to the fact she didn't like her hair. It was kind of adorable. :D

Once they were on their way to their home in Cali, me madre and I swung by the zoo. On Thursday and Friday I had already spent my days working there in preparation for the events that would occur on Saturday. It was Hy-Dari's 50th birthday, which made her the oldest African Elephant on North America! I had helped makeher cake, and I had also painted a few of her pinatas. It looked as if she thoroughly enjoyed the presents, and she ate as much as her heart desired. :D

In the evening, my mom let me go to Twilight Night. It was an event that happened all around America, where people would gather together to win prizes, play games, watch New Moon and to even see a few of the actors from the upcoming movie Eclipse! I was near Sugar House at Fairmont Park. It was soo much fun! I got free things, my face painted, and saw the first part of New Moon. But the highlight of my time was when I got to see, high-five, talk to, and even get autographs of two actors! One was a vampire, Charlie Bewely (Demetri), and the other was a wolf, Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater)! I was sooo happy!!! Charlie was soo funny! He kept randomly poking his head out of the tent to make fans scream, and he also has the most awesome accent ever! Julia was sooo sweet and pretty! Yay!!!

And now, I must bid farewell to this blog... for who knows how
long... I will try and post while I am the Startalk program learning Chinese, but there is no guarantee that I'll have internet, but if not, I'll update y'all when I come back! See ya!!!

The Tales of Trek and Other Things Which Have Occurred Since I Last Posted Typed in 5 Minutes....

Hello all! I decided it was about time I posted to let y'all know that I'm still alive, since I last blogged. As you can see, Trek did not kill me, though it came close... Just kidding. It was very inspiration and extremely fun! I learned that I can do hard things, and have gained a new appreciation for modern technology. I don't see how the pioneers were able to Trek for miles and miles with all of their belongings! I sometimes felt as if I was going to die as I walked and pushed despite the whole fact I only had to walk for three days. I mean, car rides are tedious for me, but having to walk for months on end?!?! That would be crazy!!! I also longed for a bath the whole time I was there. We got extremely muddy the first day, and the rest made us VERY dusty!!! It also got extremely cold on occasion, making us bundle up as warm as we could at night.

Aside from the discomforts, I had an amazing time! My family turned out to almost be like family to me during Trek. I loved teasing and joking around with my brothers and sisters. And my Ma and Pa were the BEST! I was sad to leave them... though, I hope we'll all be able to gather together one day!

After getting home, and taking a shower, I went to go see the Chalk Art festival! It was absolutely AMAZING!!! I wish I could draw that well with chalk!!! I may post a few pictures later.... But they were sooo pretty!!! While there, for it was at the Gateway, I went to Bath and Bodyworks. I could practically spend all day in there, aside from the fact I would go high off of the many different perfumes in the air... But still, I got some very good deals and I am happy.

The next day was Father's Day, and we were going to have a dinner with my grandparents. But it turns out that randomly, at our door, appeared my cousins and my aunt from California! They had come over without telling ANYONE, and it was such a cool surprise! Ever since they arrived, we've been going to movies. So far, recently, I've seen Karate Kid, Alice in Wonderland, and Toy Story 3, all of which were AMAZING!!! I recommend seeing them if you haven't.

Anyhow, sorry, this post wasn't very good... but I was posting it in a very limited amount of time, and there was sooo much to post on! I promise my next post will be better!!! But I have to go!!! See ya!!!!

BUSY!!!

Hello fellow earthings! Welcome back to my blog! Well... unless this is the first time you decided to drop by... then I guess it's more like WELCOME TO MY BLOG!!! Beware, it is filled with the awesomeness of my summer exploits that only the bravest dare to read... Lol!

Anyhow, it's been a while since I last posted, and for that, I must give my utmost sincerest apology... well... maybe not so sincere... But I still am sorry for not updating. I've been like CRAZY busy with this and that. A few days ago, my mom got really into making our house look nice. That included three days straight of yard work! I hate yard work. I'm allergic to it... of course, I'm allergic to everything, so people stop caring anymore. Ah well, though I must say, the yard does look nicer. :D Great job Madre!

And now, lately, I've been packing for Trek (In case any of you don't know, it's like a reenactment of the pioneers crossing the valley into Utah- Which translates into HIKING IN A SKIRT). I'm really excited for the actual Trek part, but the packing and getting ready... not so much... I don't find enjoyment out of trying to fit one sleeping bag, a foam mattress, a blanket, a winter coat, clothes, shoes, and scriptures all into ONE DUFFEL BAG!!! It's not fun, and if you don't believe me, I dare you to try it. I'm almost finished though... good thing too, otherwise I would be going crazy!!! I'm leaving tomorrow morning, and I'll be hiking for three days. This means that I won't be able to access the internet so I won't be blogging. But once I'm back, I will update this with tales of my loverly experience. :D

Anyways... I may update again later today... Right now I have to head out to watch Karate Kid. So, I'll give you a detailed analysis when I'm done. Lol, probably not, but still, hopefully it'll be good. :D Alright, I have to go now! See ya later!

HOT!

Why does it have to be soo hot?!!?! I think I'm going to die!!! Okay... maybe that's a little melodramatic, but still... I hate summer! It gets so hot I can't even think anymore!!! I wish I could open my window when I sleep, but I don't have a screen to keep the bugs out... Ah well... at least there has been rain to help cool me down. I love rain... Especially dancing in the rain... Maybe one day I'll have to have a rain party where everyone dresses in shorts and t-shirts and we can blast loud music while dancing in the rain (no reference to the title of this blog intended... I just feel like dancing and I love being in the rain. :D ).

Well... there isn't exactly anything interesting to post about... I cleaned my room... and that's it... I also just watched a show called Unknown or something. It was creepy! Six people were abducted and left in this practically deserted town filled with security cameras. They don't know where they are at, and the only way they can leave is by killing each other... It's seriously cool, and reminds me of the Hunger Games series...

I love the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. For those of you who have not read them, I would encourage you to give them a try. It's a book set in a post World War Three. The United States have fallen and is replaced by this place called Panem, which is ruled by the Capitol. Panem is made of 12 Districts that only exist to create necessities and luxuries for those living in the Capitol. In order to discourage rebellion, the Capitol demonstrates its power over those living in the districts by hosting Hunger games. Each District must submit two Tributes (one male and one female from the ages of 12 to 18) to participate in the Hunger games. There are 24 kids sent into the Arena, but only one comes out. It's a game of win, or die.

Wow... I didn't plan on giving a description of the Hunger Games... My head must be very over-heated. But I love the Hunger Games series... Anyhow, I guess I had best go before I babble on any longer. See you later, alligator! :D (This is when you say, "In a while, crocodile" ;) )

Stomp on Main

Hello all! I hope you've been having a fabulous summer so far! And don't you dare tell me you are already bored. It hasn't even been a whole week yet! My summer has been great... except for the weather. I always feel as if I'm about to die if the weather gets to be above 75. Other then that, I've been having fun. :D

Yesterday, I headed out to the Stomp on Main with a few friends. For starters, we drew on the road with chalk, tracing our body outlines on the ground. We also played with several Frisbee that they were giving away. Though, I have to say the high point of the event was when I bought an Avalanche snow cone. :D My friend and I went totally loopy eating the Tiger Blood flavored ice, which took us a while since the Avalanche was MASSIVE. :D I must admit that I didn't dance as much as I should have, but I had a ton of fun talking to my friends. :D

Today hasn't been very exciting. In fact, it's been just HOT. I did paint my nails earlier coating them in a blinding coat of glitter. :D

Well, I'll post later. I'm getting too hot to type. :D

First Day of Summer!

Wow, I'm more frequent at posting then I thought I would be! I find blogging rather fun. Especially for people who want something to do. :D Anyhows, today was the FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!! It's totally official!!! :D

Well, I started today by joining a Party Breakfast with a whole bunch of girls who were celebrating their last day of school in Jr. High. There was a lot of good food and great company. Our breakfast composed of yummy crepes with strawberries, bananas, ice-cream, chocolate syrup, and jam. It was totally delicious! Of course, afterwords I realized that ice-cream probably wasn't the smartest choice for breakfast... Just don't tell my foods teacher! :D

After that, I spent the mid part of my day cleaning... not very fun, so I won't debrief you on everything I did for fear that I may bore you to death. :D

My mom then came home from work, and we went off to get a reading on my TB test (Which was negative by the way :D ) My mom decided that we should go and see a movie. Happily, I chose to go see Prince of Persia, and I must admit, IT WAS EPIC! I recommend seeing it for all of you who haven't yet, and if you want someone to go with, feel free to ask me! (Well... as long as I'm not busy... :D ) The movie was so much better then I thought it would be! And it had a very nice ending. :D

And sadly, I must say that that will be the end of my adventures today... I wanted to go to a midnight release party tonight for a book called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer. I then decided that staying up that late would be too much, considering I don't have a ride, and that I plan to be up late tomorrow. :D

To those of you who will be free tomorrow night, I recommend going to the Stomp on Main. It would be a ton of fun if we could get a whole bunch of people to go! It's like a huge dance/party thing. :D Here's the info:

Lol, after I posted this, I was invited to go to night games. :D It was soo much fun! And after it started getting late, and a few of the young ones had to go to bed, we spent the rest of the night talking. It started raining, so we resorted to setting up a tent on the trampoline in my friend's backyard. :D

It's Official!

IT'S OFFICIAL! SCHOOL IS OVER!!! Today was sort of uneventful... Well at least in my classes. I didn't really do anything, except for Math... I actually had to take a test. :( Oh, I also played Chemistry Land (like Candy Land, only with Chemistry questions...) Other then that, nothing was exciting... until after school ended. :D

As soon as class ended, I fled to the ginormous glob of swarming students who were waiting to receive the much coveted YEARBOOK. Everyone was squashed together like a overflowing can of sardines... I swear! That "line" was worse then CHINA! That's hard to beat... And I'm also slightly claustrophobic... So, thing's weren't as comfortable a they could have been. I couldn't move a single inch, and I was drowning in a crowed of average height teenage guys... It got kind of awkward. :D

After surviving the massive hoards of people, and finally getting my loverly and heavy yearbook, I went outside to join the people outside to get it signed, and to spread my own famous autographs around the school. At first I didn't have to move an inch. People would come and just hand me their books, and take mine. But after a while, I had to go search for a few people. I swear they know I'm looking for them and go hide! People are so hard to find when you want them! Finally, I decided to go back where I started... only to find quite a few of those I was looking for... sigh... Lol! :D

So, that's that. School is now over... At least for three months. I bet by then I'll really want to go back to school... If only to see my friends. :D Miss you guys! Keep in touch! If I get too lonely, I may have to read through your loverly messages written in my much coveted yearbook (So hopefully you guys wrote good things :D ).

HAVE A FANTASTICALLY WONDERFUL SUMMER!!!
-Nicholle :D

Thoughts on the Last Day of School...

Well, today, I am in school for the last time as a sophmore. And right now, I'm in my computer tech class, where we do almost NOTHING! I'm really bored, and I've already checked out Facebook and various Twilight Fan sites, and I decided that I would post a blog. :D

I'm not really sure that the whole fact of "summer is here" has hit me yet. Well... except for the disgustingly hot weather we've been having. Other then that, I can't believe that after today, I will no longer have to go to school for three months, and that I'll have to replace my school schedule with other various activities. Of course, I wish I had a break before I started going off places, but my mother has different thoughts.

On Saturday, I am leaving to Arizona. I'm dreading the weather there. If I think Utah is hot with its 79 degree forcast, I don't want to know what the weather has in store in arid Arizona. But I have to go despite my unwillingness. Mom wants me to go see my aunt and uncle on my dad's side. I haven't seen them for about 5-ish years, and they want to see me. They'll be at work most of the time we are there, meaning that Mom and I have to have our own little adventures around the area. Another thing I am hesitant on is the fact that I doubt I will have internet service... How will I ever live??? One of the only things that I've been thinking that could make my stay in Arizona more pleasent is that Bella Swan (Twilight) lived there... but I don't like Bella... and that doesn't help much...

Anyways, enough about my summer, I guess I'll talk about today. Today is when we get our year-books, which are very expensive by the way, and we get to have them signed by our friends. I'm hoping to get some phone numbers of friends who've I only met this year so I can keep in touch. I'm sad that I have to be gone for most of the summer... I wanted to hang out more often with my friends... but alas, that will not be. Ah well, there is always next summer!... oh wait... probably not, I'm going to be in China for all of it... Ok, well then... There is always the summer after next summer. :D

Thanks for listening to my babbling, if anyone actually reads this... I know it's a little scatter-brained, but what can you say.

Have a great summer! :D

Reminiscing...

And our year is coming to a close (Only one more day left!) How fast this year has flown! It seems like only yesterday when I was worried about getting lost and acting like the new sophomore I was... Sigh... I guess time flies when you're having fun, and that is mainly due to my wonderful friends. Thank you so much for sticking with me this whole year. I know I've been crazy, but it's been fun. Thanks for at least trying to keep me a little bit sane. :D

I also want to thank my mother for sticking behind me as well. Thanks for helping me through my rough spots, and having enough patience to deal with me. Love ya!

I'm going to be busy for the main portion of the summer, but I'll try and keep in touch! Email me, or comment on this blog, and I'll try and find time to answer back.

Have a great summer!

Walking around Walmart...

Alright, so the other day, I was at Walmart with me madre, and I just happened to come across a large sign in the meat department. It made me laugh, and I decided to share it with you guys. It seems as if Walmart needs to learn how to advertise better...

Hello!

Hello, I'm Nicholle, and thanks for stopping by. I decided to create this blog as a way to make a sort of online journal. I'm terrible at writing consistently in my actual journal, but I seem to have an easier time doing things on a computer. This is also something that I can use to keep in touch with my friends and family during my busy summer schedule.

School is finally almost out. I can almost taste its sweetness on my tongue. Of course, that means that I will be bombarded with my summer activities, which includes: volunteering at Utah's Hogle Zoo, Trek (like a reenactment of the pioneers who made their way into the Salt Lake Valley), and learning Chinese for about a month at BYU's Startalk program. In the midst of these major activities, I also anticipate the release of several books that I've been waiting for and a few movies including Eclipse (and yes, for those of you who don't know me well or have been living in a hole, I am a Twi-fan).

Alright.... That seems like a suitable first post to me for a blog. Besides, it's 9:30 pm, and I really want to read a few books that I just got from the library. I just love books. :D

See you later,
Nicholle :D
